Jackie Weissmiller ( Management )
Jackie serves as the Vice President for Veritee and has 30 plus years of industry experience in operational leadership across multiple states, including Texas, Colorado, Washington, and California. She specializes in evaluating and maximizing asset performance, overseeing new construction projects and lease-ups, financial analysis, and budgeting.
A caring and passionate leader, Jackie has successfully managed a wide variety of asset types, including conventional, affordable housing, lease-up, high rise, mixed use, senior living, and REO/receivership. Jackie earned her Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS), and Texas Real Estate License.
Over the years, she has been named Manager of the Year numerous times, in addition to receiving a Property Turnaround of the Year award and various Leadership awards. Her favorite thing about her role is mentoring and growing her teams, which helps drive performance and financial success for her clients and makes communities shine. When she’s not at work, Jackie enjoys football and hosting gatherings with her husband, who is an awesome cook.

Regional Manager
Marcia Lewis ( Management )
Marcia serves as a Regional Manager for Veritee and has over 13 years of industry experience. She specializes in Housing Tax Credit Compliance ( LIHTC), Multi-Family Direct Loan compliance (MFDL), and Onesite property management software.
A knowledgeable and dedicated leader, her responsibilities include auditing files, creating resident retention programs, and ensuring properties are in compliance with the Housing Tax Credit Program. She is also a certified Site Compliance Specialist (SCS).
Her favorite thing about this line of work is that every day is different, and she enjoys interacting with her team and residents. When she is away from the office, Marcia enjoys tending to her farm animals.

Area Senior Manager
vivian alvarado ( Management )
Vivian serves as an Area Senior Manager for Veritee and has over 7 years with VPS and an additional 7 years of experience in leadership roles working with seniors in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She specializes in training staff to ensure all team members perform and exceed their level of expectation.
A diplomatic and optimistic leader, her responsibilities include solving problems in day-to-day operations, in addition to supporting and training staff. She is also a Certified Phlebotomist Technician (CPT), a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), and Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
Over the years, Vivian has earned multiple awards and achievements, including All Star Team (2018), Rising Star (2019), Perfect File Audit (2020 and 2023), Our Hero Star Award (Certificate of Appreciation – Essential Worker, 2020), Rising Star (Together We Can Award, 2022), and Helping Hands Award (Highest Occupancy 99.40%, 2023).

Development Training Specialist/Senior Floating Community Manager
Tara Jourdan ( Compliance )
Tara serves as a Development Training Specialist and Senior Floating Community Manager for Veritee and has over 11 years of industry experience. She specializes in Housing Tax Credit Compliance (LIHTC) and Multi-Family Direct Loan Compliance (MFDL).
A friendly and process-oriented compliance expert, her responsibilities include developing and implementing training resources in accordance with TDHCA. She holds a Site Compliance Specialist (SCS) and Certified Apartment Manager (CAM).
Her favorite thing about her role is the paperwork and intricacies required of the Affordable Housing Program. When she’s not at work, Tara enjoys reading, in addition to figuring out and improving her garden each season.

Regional Facilities Director
Darren Lewis ( Maintenance )
Darren serves as the Regional Facilities Director for Veritee and has over 14 years of industry experience as a licensed general contractor in California and over 15 years in apartment maintenance. He specializes in developing maintenance teams, safety protocols, preventive maintenance plans, keeping properties structurally safe and compliant with state and city regulations, and performing IT work.
A knowledgeable and helpful leader, his responsibilities include reviewing and advising maintenance teams, scheduling inspections, performing repairs, liaising with city and state departments and inspectors, and developing and repairing IT infrastructure to keep each property’s internet and computers operating efficiently.
Darren is a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician with an Energy Certification (CAMT+E) and a Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM). He has also earned his Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) and Site Compliance Specialist (SCS). His favorite thing about his role is when his coworkers or teammates grasp and learn something new that will further their career. Outside of work, Darren likes pushing stuff with his tractor on his farm.

Regional Special Projects Manager
Manny Carreira ( Maintenance )
Manny serves as a Regional Special Projects Manager for Veritee and has over 10 years of industry experience. He specializes in HVAC and maintenance services.
A hardworking maintenance expert, his key responsibilities include repairing and installing HVAC systems, providing assistance with work orders, and working on miscellaneous projects. Manny holds an AA in HVAC, a universal EPA license, and a CPO license, showing his commitment to providing exceptional service.
His favorite thing about his role is figuring out challenges and uncovering new learning opportunities. When he’s away from the office, Manny enjoys tending to his yard.

Senior Maintenance Manager
Gary Jourdan ( Maintenance )
Gary serves as the Senior Maintenance Manager for Veritee and has over 5 years of industry experience. He specializes in HVAC and refrigeration installation and service. A self-motivated and creative-thinking professional with a passion for excellence, his responsibilities include overseeing maintenance for 400 units, ordering supplies and equipment, and ensuring the safety and competence of multiple properties and individual maintenance teams.
Gary holds an Associate of Arts (AA) in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration from Central Texas College, where he graduated in the top 1% of his class. He is also an 8-year United States Army veteran and has the following certifications: CAM-T/EPA Universal/Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and Registered Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician. In addition, he is a proud participant of the US Army’s Warriors Leader Course (WLC), Advanced Leaders Course (ALC), and Senior Leaders Course (SLC).
Gary’s favorite thing about his role is helping residents solve their issues and clarifying technical information to ensure that all parties reach mutually desired goals. When he’s not at work, Gary enjoys working on small engines that appear beyond repair, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Taryn Lawson ( Accounting )
Taryn serves as a Corporate Controller for Veritee and has over 27 years of industry experience. She specializes in financial reporting for small to mid-sized property management companies.
A friendly, helpful, and process-oriented team player, her responsibilities include financial reporting for all properties and corporate entities, budgeting, managing cash, managing the accounting department, completing payroll, and setting up employee benefits.
Taryn holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Riverside. When she’s away from the office, Taryn enjoys traveling, attending festivals, eating at new local restaurants, and volunteering at food banks.

AP Financial Specialist
Wendy Miller-Thomas ( Accounting )
Wendy serves as an AP Financial Specialist for Veritee and has over 17 years of accounting experience, including three in multifamily. She specializes in accounts payable, and retains an extensive knowledge of hotel occupancy tax rules and requirements.
A self-sufficient accounting expert, her responsibilities include processing invoices, reconciling payments to invoices, and reconciling bank accounts. Over the years, she has received three perfect state audits of hotel occupancy tax filings and two perfect audits of sales and use tax.
Her favorite thing about this line of work is balancing things to zero. When she’s away from the office, Wendy enjoys reading and watching horror movies.
